Working with Olytic

Olytic FAQ

Questions about working with Olytic, choosing an offering, and what to expect from consulting, custom software, and Olytic Workspace.

What Olytic is

What we do and where to start.

What does Olytic do?

We help businesses use AI and software to improve how they operate. Our background is in revenue operations, software engineering, data architecture, market strategy, and business systems. That combination matters: we can work through the business problem, design a system people can use, and build it. You get help connecting what the technology can do with what is actually worth doing for your business.

How do Consulting, Studio, and Olytic Workspace differ?

Consulting helps you decide where technology is worth the investment and put those decisions into practice. Studio is our design-and-build service, using and building on Foundation to deliver software for your operation. Olytic Workspace is a separate SaaS product: a flexible, model-agnostic, connected, secure AI copilot that lets your team choose models and work with your business tools. You can work with us on the problem you have without taking on every offering.

Where should we start?

Bring us a problem you want to work through. You don’t need to know which offering fits or have a solution designed. A working session can help examine a specific question; AI Value Mapping helps when you have several priorities to sort through. You can also get in touch to discuss what you need.

What is Olytic Foundation?

Olytic Foundation is our software engine, design system, and AI administration layer. It gives us the common building blocks of a business application, including records, permissions, interface components, automation, hosting, backups, and monitoring. Having that groundwork in place allows us to build your custom software better, faster, and at lower cost. More of the engagement can go into the parts that make a difference to your business. See what Foundation includes.

Does Studio only build new, custom applications?

Most Studio engagements address a new or novel use case. We also implement patterns such as FieldCraft across multiple businesses when we find the same underlying need. Both use and build on Foundation. When a pattern fits, you benefit from the design and delivery experience already behind it; when your requirements are different, we design the application around them.

How is Studio different from a traditional software development engagement?

Quality software takes more than the features you see in a demo. Access controls, error handling, backups, monitoring, and consistent screens all need to be designed, built, and tested. That work doesn’t happen automatically, but much of it is common across applications. We created Foundation to solve that gap. Studio is our design-and-build delivery model, optimized around that established software so we can spend more time on your business requirements and deliver a better system faster, at lower cost. See how Studio works.

Consulting

Engagements, your existing systems, and your team’s part in the work.

What consulting engagements do you offer?

AI Value Mapping starts with your business priorities, analyzes your systems and data, and delivers a sequenced roadmap with a business case for each major initiative. Workstream as a Service provides ongoing delivery for a fixed monthly fee, with two or three priorities moving at a time. AI Enablement & Adoption helps connect AI tools to your systems and train your team. We also offer working sessions and on-site workshops.

What do we need to bring to a consulting engagement?

Bring the problems you’re seeing and the people who understand them. Reports that take too long, repeated handoffs, and workarounds are useful starting points. We bring ideas and help assess the options, but we need your team’s knowledge of the business to decide what is worth doing.

Can you work with our existing CRM or ERP?

Yes. We can build AI solutions and workflows that connect to your existing systems, helping your team use the information already there and reduce repeated data entry or manual handoffs. Connections are agreed as part of the scope. We work with your internal team or provider responsible for day-to-day CRM and ERP administration.

What does our team need to do after launch?

People need time to learn the system and someone responsible for following up on adoption. A successful pilot can lose momentum if the rest of the team carries on as before. We help with training and feedback; your leaders need to make the change a priority and support people in using it.

Olytic Workspace

Model choice, usage pricing, and pilot access.

Do we need a custom application to use Olytic Workspace?

No. Olytic Workspace is a separate product built on Foundation. You can use it as your team’s AI copilot without commissioning a Studio application. Model choice lets people use the right AI for the task, while connected tools and company guidance give it the information it needs. Access controls let you decide which models and tools each person can use.

How is Olytic Workspace priced?

Olytic Workspace uses a shared prepaid usage balance rather than per-seat subscriptions, so you can give your team access without paying a subscription for every person who might use it. Your team draws from that balance as it uses AI, with spending limits and usage visibility to help manage costs. Olytic Workspace’s usage model is separate from the monthly Foundation license for a Studio application.

Can our team sign up for Olytic Workspace now?

Olytic Workspace is available through limited pilot access. Self-service sign-in and signup are not yet available. Contact us about pilot access so we can discuss your team’s tasks, tools, and requirements.

Ownership and control

What you keep from a Studio build and what Olytic operates.

Who owns the software you build for us?

You keep your data model, your data, and your code. Olytic owns and operates Foundation, with hosting and support agreed before work begins.

Can we export our data and its structure?

The custom data model built around how your company runs is yours, and so is every record in it. You can export both whenever you need them.

What does Olytic operate for our Studio application?

Olytic owns and operates Foundation, including hosting, maintenance, backups, and support, so your team has no infrastructure to run. You keep your data model, your data, and your code. We export the code written for your business, including the AI instructions your application uses, so you keep what was built for you. Talk with us about the Foundation license and your requirements before work begins.

Cost and commercial model

Build costs and ongoing charges for Studio applications.

How much does a Studio application cost?

We agree the build cost and ongoing hosting and support with you before work begins. Because Studio builds on Foundation, you don’t have to fund the common infrastructure from scratch. Foundation is licensed at a flat monthly rate with unlimited users, and each tier includes monthly AI credits, with usage beyond them metered. Your application’s scope and Foundation tier determine the proposal.

Why doesn’t Foundation charge per seat?

Foundation’s flat monthly license lets your whole team use the application without adding a license fee for each person. AI is billed on usage beyond each tier’s monthly credits, so headcount and AI spending stay separate. Compare AI seat pricing and usage-based billing.

Is AI usage included in the Foundation license?

Each Foundation tier includes monthly AI credits. Usage beyond the credits is metered and billed monthly. All AI capability is available at every Foundation tier; budgets, spending alerts, and usage visibility help your team manage consumption.

Speed and process

How a Studio application moves from discovery to launch.

How long does it take to get a working system?

An application built on Olytic Foundation can go live in weeks because the underlying components and infrastructure are already in place. The timing for your application depends on the agreed scope, connections to existing tools, and preparation of your data and team. Olytic defines the first version with you before agreeing the delivery plan.

What does a Studio engagement look like?

A Studio engagement moves through discovery, design, build, and launch. Olytic documents the business requirements, plans the workflows and connections, and builds in short cycles with demonstrations every two weeks. Launch includes testing, preparing your team, documentation, and a plan for ongoing maintenance.

Do we need our own developers or IT team involved?

You do not need to assemble a development team for Studio. Olytic works with your people to design, build, host, and support the application. Your team supplies the knowledge of the work and reviews progress. If you have IT staff responsible for connected systems or access requirements, include them when those decisions are made.

Quality, security, and reliability

The work behind an application your team depends on.

Is this “vibe coded,” or built for production use?

Olytic uses AI to help build software, with people responsible for the design, architecture, testing, and ongoing support. A working demo is only part of the job. A business system also needs clear access rules, reliable handling of errors, a tested launch, and someone responsible for keeping it running. You’re hiring us to think through those decisions, check the work, and take responsibility for what we deliver. See how we build and support your system.

Is this secure enough to run our business on?

Olytic takes security very seriously. We work only with providers that have enterprise-grade security systems. The security frameworks included in Foundation have been rigorously tested and verified. Security strategy depends on your business, the data you handle, and the way your team works. Speak with an Olytic representative to find out whether we can meet your needs.

What support comes with a Studio application?

Olytic operates Foundation and provides hosting, maintenance, backups, and support. At every tier, Olytic manages hosting, monitoring, and capacity, keeps daily backups for 30 days with restores tested, and applies security patches promptly. Hosting and support are agreed before work begins. Contact Olytic about support for your application.

Whether this is the right fit

When to build, when to buy, and where to start.

How do we know whether to build or buy off-the-shelf software?

Start by asking whether an existing product solves your actual workflow well. A custom build becomes worth considering when the gaps matter to how your business operates and you have a plan to maintain the system. Build or Buy Business Software explains the decision in more detail.

What if our problem is something normal SaaS already solves well?

If an existing SaaS product solves your problem well, buying it can be the right choice. Studio fits workflows that need features standard software does not provide. A working session can help you decide whether to buy software, connect existing tools, or build something custom.

What kinds of businesses is Studio for?

Studio fits businesses whose teams spend too much time working around software that almost does the job. It gives you a way to build for the process you need, with a team that can work through the design decisions, build the application, and support it. The strongest fit is a business that sees value in solving a specific operational problem and is ready to help its people adopt the system.
